San Diego’s season begins with a phenomenal celebration in Balboa Park, near downtown. It does require quite a bit of walking to see it all, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

This event is perfect for younger children. You sit back and enjoy the magic of hundreds of holiday scenes formed by twinkinling lights. Best of all, you view the wintery wonderland from the comfort of your own vehicle, as you drive slowly around the Del Mar Racetrack.

Outdoor Skating Ring at Horton Plaza

IT is more interactive than a typical zoo, featuring many activities, such as rope-climbing courses, zip lining, and hand-feeding exotic birds. The NCRT is a wonderful, intimate theater in Solana Beach. With a great selection of plays and shows, the house is nearly always full. For a unique cultural experience in North County, it’s not to be missed. Their upcoming play, The Underpants, was adapted by Steve Martin, and it’s sure to be hilarious. It runs from September 5-30, 2012. The NCRT is located just one free exit north of Winners Circle Resort, less than two miles from our property.
Del Mar features the best beaches in San Diego, with stretches great for surfing and swimming. Of course, there are also parks for picnics and courts for volleyball. Del Mar’s sparkling beaches are less than two miles from Winners Circle Resort.
